Netflix has a slew of hugely successful series, but Squid Game is still one of the most popular. As a result, many fans will be delighted to hear that it is returning for more.
The Korean dystopian program focuses on a group of individuals who are desperate to win a large financial reward. They are put through a series of grueling tasks, pitting themselves against one another in warped versions of children’s games. If they lose, they will suffer fatal repercussions.
If you want to know when the program will return, who will be back, and what we expect it to be about, we have all the answers.
Squid Game season 2 potential release date
During an investor call, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos revealed that Squid Game season 2 will premiere in 2024. However, the release date has become questionable as a result of the Hollywood strikes, which have created delays throughout the industry.
Nonetheless, it appears like season 2 will be released this year, as stated in a letter to shareholders published in late January.
Production began last summer and is expected to take around 10 months, according to The Digital Fix. With that in mind, we expect the program to return in the second part of this year.

What will the plot of Squid Game season 2 be?
Netflix has not revealed the narrative of Squid Game season 2, but we may guess what it will be about.
Season 1 ended with Seong Gi-hun deciding to re-enter the game after seeing the recruiter again.
As the Front Man has been confirmed to return, we can presume that Gi-hun will be aiming to take down the game from within as a participant – but will he be able to persuade anybody to his side?
The show’s horrible games contribute to its appeal, so we may expect more gory and complex settings in the second series.
Fans of the series should also check out the reality competition spin-off, Squid Game: The Challenge. There’s speculation on whether the fictional series will adapt challenges from this show, such as the Battleships round.
Will Squid Game return for season 3?
Last year, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk told Variety that there was a “50-50” chance that the show’s second season would be the last, implying that Squid Game may return for a third season.
We’re sure to discover more as season 2 approaches.
