Harry Potter Max series release date
HBO plans to premiere the Harry Potter series in 2026, if all goes according to plan. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who met with J.K. Rowling to discuss the project, made this claim (via The Hollywood Reporter).
There will be over a decade of content, providing that the show is successfully renewed year on year.

Harry Potter Max series cast and crew
Although the core golden trio—Dan, Rupert, and Emma—will probably be newbies, the other cast members are yet unconfirmed.
Regarding casting, Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and Max programming, stated: “We haven’t reached out to agencies.” We’ve been thinking about individuals within our own heads, but we haven’t felt like venturing outside. Now that the word has spread, we will begin visiting the establishment.
While they search for a showrunner, HBO is aware that J.K. Rowling has joined as an executive producer. The author’s transphobic ideas have caused a great deal of pushback to this news. Ruth Kenley-Letts and Neil Blair will be accompanying her.
No former Harry Potter actors have been confirmed to return as of yet.

The new series will go deeply into the original plot contained in all seven novels, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced. Contrary to long-standing rumors that a program should have one season for every book, the story of the show will span 10 years, meaning it might have more than seven seasons.

This means that fans could expect to see characters and plot points that weren’t explored in the films, such as Peeves, S.P.E.W and the Marauders backstory.
How to watch the new Harry Potter series
The program is being created for HBO’s Max streaming service, which is accessible in the US, Latin America, and some regions of Europe. Prices in the United States for ad-supported programming begin at $9.99 a month.
In the UK, most shows are syndicated on Sky and Now; there is no Max. By the time this episode airs, though, Max could have made international waves. Given the British origins of this property, a UK release would be anticipated in any case.
