The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 might finally allow Xiaomi to move outside of China with a folding device, according to GSMChina (via Gizmochina). The Chinese site’ is not yet a reputable source, despite proving the authenticity of its material multiple times, so we should proceed with care.
Two models to conquer the world market
According to them, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 was discovered in the GSMA IMEI database, with two variants of the MIX Fold 4 included. The first would have the model number 2405CPX3DC ending in a C, indicating a Chinese-only launch. The second, on the other hand, would have the number 2405CPX3DG, completed with a G for worldwide release.
The magazine speculates that the beginning of the model number, 2405, would suggest a date, presumably May 2024. That has yet to be shown. Given that MIX Fold 3 was officially published on August 14, 2023, a May 2024 release would be quite advanced.
According to reports, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The Chinese company would also be working on a new folding variety, this time in clamshell configuration.
