OnePlus Nord 6 Release Date, Price, Specs & Features (Latest Rumors)

The OnePlus Nord series remains a top pick for mid-range smartphones, and the OnePlus Nord 5 continues that strong legacy.

As 2026 heats up, excitement builds around the OnePlus Nord 6 as OnePlus’ next big mid-range contender. Early leaks suggest impressive upgrades that could outshine the competition.

Despite a simpler design compared to the standout OnePlus Nord 4, the OnePlus Nord 5 ranks among the best mid-range phones—all for just £399/€449.

Fresh OnePlus Nord 6 leaks reveal its launch date, colors, specs, and more. Here’s our full rumor breakdown and analysis.

Is the OnePlus Nord 6 launching earlier than usual?

After many reports, we can officially confirm that the OnePlus Nord 6 will be unveiled on April 7th.

Although the announcement of the Nord 6’s unveiling was not surprising given that the date had already been indicated by a few tipsters, we now have official confirmation from OnePlus.

OnePlus India’s official site now features a dedicated landing page for the OnePlus Nord 6, confirming an April 7 launch date along with a “Notify Me” button for updates.

Global rollout details remain unclear amid rumors of OnePlus scaling back in markets like the UK, Europe, and US. We’ll keep tracking developments and hope this mid-range powerhouse reaches more regions soon.

Longtime Nord fans may have noticed that this is a change from OnePlus’ customary practice, as every phone in the mid-range series has launched in July.

By moving the debut date forward, the Nord 6 will join the market shortly after the Pixel 10a and around the same time as the anticipated Samsung Galaxy A57.

As you can see below, the usual launch window for the Nord series phones is consistently July.

  • OnePlus Nord 5 – July 2025
  • OnePlus Nord 4 – July 2024
  • OnePlus Nord 3 – July 2023
  • OnePlus Nord 2 – July 2021
  • OnePlus Nord – July 2020

OnePlus Nord 6 Price: Will It Cost More Than Nord 5 (£399)?

Sorry, OnePlus enthusiasts, but latest rumors suggest that the Nord 6 will be priced higher than its predecessor.

Yogesh Brar, the aforementioned tipster, has also suggested that the Nord 6 may be priced higher in India, by around Rs 3-5K (£25-45).

Although a price hike is never welcome, it’s not surprising considering the current situation of the global economy and how it’s affecting going rates for contemporary phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 line.

The OnePlus Nord 5 was priced at £399, allowing it to undercut Google’s mid-range phone while competing directly with the Honor 400 and the Nothing Phone (3a).

A price hike would pit the Nord 6 against the Google Pixel 10a, Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, and Samsung Galaxy A57.

The price of the Nord range has fluctuated quite a bit throughout the years, as seen below:

  • OnePlus Nord 5 – £399/€449
  • OnePlus Nord 4 – £429/€499
  • OnePlus Nord 3 – £499/€499
  • OnePlus Nord 2 – £399/€399
  • OnePlus Nord – £379/€399

What’s actually new on the Nord 6?

Spectacular Snapdragon power

New Geekbench leaks for the OnePlus Nord 6 show improved performance since January, hinting at chipset tweaks for better power.

It’s now confirmed: the OnePlus Nord 6 packs the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4—the same chip driving last year’s standout Poco F7. That phone crushed daily tasks and gaming, so expect the Nord 6 to deliver similar mid-range dominance in 2026.

The Geekbench-tested OnePlus Nord 6 model boasts 12GB RAM, though expect a more budget-friendly 8GB variant like the Nord 5 offered.

This Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset also powers the China-exclusive OnePlus Turbo 6, suggesting the Nord 6 might be a rebranded global version of that device.

It’ll also include the G2 network chip from the OnePlus 15, promising stronger Wi-Fi and 5G performance for everyday use.

An outrageously large battery

Although there will almost definitely be a large caveat attached, OnePlus fans should be enthused about the Nord 6’s battery potential. The aforementioned OnePlus Turbo 6 debuted with an incredible 9000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and we now know that the Nord 6 will follow likewise.

The issue is that due to Western laws, that massive capacity may not see the light of day in the UK and Europe.

It will, however, be available in the Indian version of the phone, as the OnePlus India main page for the Nord 6 reveals the 9,000mAh battery as one of its important features.

However, it isn’t hard to imagine OnePlus wanting to do all that it can to still have battery capacity be a defining feature on the Nord 6, so don’t be too surprised if we in the West end up seeing a cell around the 7000mAh mark. There could also be 80W fast charging to go with it.

A questionable display change

The OnePlus Nord 5 shone with its massive 6.83-inch display and rare 144Hz refresh rate—still uncommon even among mid-range phones.

Get ready for a trade-off upgrade on the OnePlus Nord 6: it steps up to the flagship-level 165Hz refresh rate from the OnePlus 15, perfect for smooth action in games like Call of Duty Mobile.

The downside is that the display could shrink somewhat to 6.78-inches, which may be desirable to some who prefer a slightly smaller gadget to carry about.

Next level durability

Another feature that the Nord 6 may take from its Turbo cousin is an official IP68 and IP69K rating. These two certifications combined would imply that the Nord 6 has superior dust and water protection, to the point where it can survive water jets.

While this may not be as spectacular as a 9000mAh battery, it is a significant win for consumer value because it lifts the mid-range standard even higher.

With that kind of rating, you won’t have to spend a lot of money on a flagship device to receive top-notch durability, and you’ll have the added piece of mind that comes from knowing your phone is unlikely to be damaged by the weather.

A potential camera downgrade

OnePlus has shifted its camera strategy recently, with the OnePlus 15R dropping its predecessor’s telephoto lens—and the OnePlus Nord 6 might follow suit. Key specs are now confirmed via OnePlus India on X.

The rear camera setup keeps the familiar 8MP ultra-wide sensor for consistent performance, but upgrades to a new 50MP Sony LYTIA main sensor.

Sony’s LYTIA tech is still emerging, so direct comparisons to the Nord 5’s 50MP Sony LYT 700 main camera are tricky—but early hints point to better HDR processing and video capabilities. This should shine in tricky lighting, like partially lit or overexposed scenes.

Sony also promises enhanced 4K/60fps video recording with the LYTIA sensor—ideal for budget content creators—though we’ll need hands-on testing to confirm.

Unfortunately, the OnePlus Nord 6 steps back from the Nord 5’s standout 50MP selfie camera, dropping to a 32MP front shooter.

While megapixels don’t guarantee quality, we hope OnePlus has boosted post-processing software to maintain sharp, epic selfies for students and nightlife shots.

Everything else to know

The Nord 6, like its predecessor, will be available in three colorways: black, mint, and silver. There is also a special edition Naruto Nord 6 on the way, which has been discovered on OnePlus India’s support page, though little is known at this time about what this version of the phone will entail. If prior brand collaborations are any indication, expect a distinctive phone case, exclusive wallpapers, and even a separate charging cable.

Storage fans might be disappointed—OnePlus appears to be dropping the 512GB Nord 6 option, shifting focus to two 256GB models paired with varying RAM configs.

Conflicting leaks surround a potential Nord CE 6 launch: tipster Yogesh Brar predicts a later release, but India’s BIS certification lists a separate CPH2805 model incoming.

Like the Nord 6 borrowing from China’s OnePlus Turbo 6, the CE 6 could pull features from the budget Turbo 6V.

Otherwise, expect the same camera array as the Nord 5—no major hardware upgrades, just possible software tweaks.
