A potential mains charger for the Realme GT Neo 5 has been seen, and it makes you want: a maximum power of 240 W! Enough to power the next Realme flagship in just 10 minutes.
Realme GT Neo 3 was released in July and could be recharged in 15 minutes owing to its 150 W charger. A power source that causes the Realme smartphone to heat up, but nothing to worry about. It was and still is outstanding, especially for a marketed model. However, Realm appears to aim to go farther in the rapid load: the manufacturer is preparing his GT Neo 5, skipping the fourth, which is said to bring ill luck in Asia ( it even has a name, the Tetraphobia). If we trust a charger identified by MyDrivers – through Android Police – this smartphone might be recharged in 240 W.
THE CHARGER OF REALME GT NEO 5 SPOTTED
According to a Chinese website, “SuperVOOC 240W adapters with the VCKCJACH product number have been detected,” according to Android Police. We are already familiar with this technology, as it was shown at the most recent MWC by Oppo, who claimed of being able to reload a smartphone in less than 10 minutes. The two companies share this technology since they both have R&D departments. In this same living room, Realme has a 150 W w connected load, allowing it to charge 50% of the battery in 5 minutes.
This fast sector charger found draws 20 V at 12 A and would recharge the Realme GT Neo 5’s two-cell battery through a USB-C to USB-C adapter. MyDrivers adds that there might be an alternate version to GT Neo 5, with a lesser load power, of 150 W, « when the phone launches in the first quarter of this year ». This was previously the case with the GT Neo 3’s 80 W version. However, one would wonder about the battery’s life with such power and the less than 10 minutes required to fully recharge it.

REALME IS NOT ALONE IN THE FAST LOAD RACE
However, Realme is not the only maker looking to push the battery life of their phones to the limit. We know that Xiaomi is working on a 200 W charger after demonstrating technology that can charge a smartphone to 100% in 5 minutes. Vivo, for his part, operates on a 200 W charger, which, since the firm introduced the Vivo Iqoo 10 Pro in China this summer, can completely charge in 10 minutes.
On the other hand, there are historic builders that do not compete, such as Apple with the iPhone 14, Google with the Pixel 7, and Samsung with the Galaxy S22. Apple and Samsung, on the other hand, seem unconcerned about Chinese competition, and the latest Google smartphones have been a critical success. The quick (hyper) load may not be the main selling element for customers.
