Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has these new exclusive features

Samsung’s first Unpacked debut presentation of the year included the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones.  The ordinary S24 and S24+ are quite powerful phones, but those who purchase the top-of-the-line Samsung S24 Ultra model will receive a number of special features.

And, despite Samsung’s huge emphasis on artificial intelligence, none of these are relevant to Galaxy AI. So, let’s take a look at what investing in this year’s Ultra will provide you an advantage over its brothers and many competitors.

    Titanium build

For the first time – and yes, following in Apple’s footsteps – Samsung has gone for a titanium build, which gives the phone an excellent strength to weight ratio.

The titanium frame is one of the most significant differences between the S24 Ultra and the S24/S24 Plus in the design and build department.

It’s worth mentioning that the Ultra’s smaller siblings have been upgraded to ‘Armor Aluminium 2.0’, which has a matte surface and a more rounded form for greater grip.

    Corning Gorilla Armor

The Ultra is the only model with a unique glass front made of Corning Gorilla Armor.

In fact, no other phone on the market contains this content. Samsung claims that it is not only four times harder than a regular cover, but it also has 75% less reflection. This should make it simpler to operate in bright environments, especially with a maximum brightness of 2600 nits.

However, the formerly Ultra-exclusive LTPO display, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate between 1-120Hz, is also available on normal and Plus versions.

    Quad Telephoto camera

Samsung has long been pushing its telephoto capabilities and this year is no different. To this end, the Galaxy S24 Ultra arrives with a new ‘Quad Telephoto’ array.

For starters, it has a new 5x optical telephoto lens for close-up photographs of your subject from a distance. It improves on the S23 Ultra’s 3x lens and, when paired with the 50Mp primary sensor, achieves a 10x zoom capability.

Samsung can term it a Quad Telephoto because it also has 2x and 3x zoom options. However, due to the 10x’s hybrid design, it is not the native optical zoom you may have expected and hoped for.

The S24 and S24 Plus both have Dual Telephoto in the form of 2x and 3x.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (UK)

If you’re in the UK, the S24 Ultra has a different CPU than its stablemates. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Samsung Galaxy is an overclocked version of the chipset used in competitors like the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro.

In certain areas, such as the United States, the complete S24 line will receive this chipset. However, in the UK, the S24 and S24+ will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 processor.

    S Pen stylus

It’s not new for this year, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra remains the only phone in the range to be supplied with Samsung’s popular S Pen stylus.

It slots into the bottom of the phone for convenience and can be used for a wide range of tasks, giving you a Galaxy Note-like experience despite that range being discontinued.

    More storage

It’s not especially thrilling, but if you want 1TB of storage on your phone (as some people do), you must get the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The normal S24 has a maximum capacity of 256GB, whilst the S24+ has a maximum capacity of 512GB.

With no support for expandable storage, be careful to select the appropriate option.
