The NFL does not yet have a dedicated Apple Vision Pro app, but that did not prevent me from trying to view sections of Super Bowl 2024 using Apple’s spatial computer. And I have to tell you, it looked amazing.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t force myself to watch the Big Game for very long. And it has nothing to do with the headset’s powers.
I gave the Apple Vision Pro my first try during the Super Bowl pregame show, launching the Paramount Plus app on the gadget. It should be noted that this is a “Compatible App,” which indicates that Paramount Plus has yet to produce a native Vision Pro software. But the supersized iPad app within the headgear was still remarkable.
When I switched to full-screen mode, I made the movie window roughly the size of my living room wall, dwarfing my 65-inch Samsung QLED TV. Even at this big scale, the image was clear and sharp. I felt like I was on stage when Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy was selected last.
