Netflix has disclosed its strategy for combating password/account sharing. Users will be required to login in on the account holder’s domestic Wi-Fi network and view something at least once every 31 days, according to the streaming service.
If they do not, the account as a whole may be barred from utilizing the site.
The Streamable received this information from Netflix’s support website, however at the time of writing, it is only available on the information page for Costa Rica. It needs to be seen if this strategy will be applicable to other nations such as the United States and the United Kingdom.
If it does roll out, we expect it to be in the following months, as Netflix stated in January that the password sharing ban will be implemented in the first fiscal quarter of 2023.

The primary household of an account is referred to as a “primary location” by the streaming giant. Anyone utilizing the Wi-Fi in that place can continue to view Netflix in the manner intended by the business.
Through a mix of “IP addresses, device IDs, and account activity,” Netflix will discover customers who stream from an account outside of the primary location. If you chance to be traveling, Netflix has provided a way to go around a block.
You may get a temporary Netflix code by email or text that will last for seven days while you’re away. But If your vacation lasts longer than this, Netflix has not yet supplied a solution.
If you’ve relocated, you must change your primary residence address in your Netflix preferences. If you don’t set one up manually when you initially join up, Netflix will assign you one based on your account activity and most-used IP address.
Also If you’re merely exchanging passwords, Netflix will urge account holders to either join others as extra members (albeit there is only one profile with no simultaneous streaming allowed) or simply purchase their own membership.
Many users may face financial hardship as the end of password sharing approaches.
