Many Samsung phone owners are eagerly expecting the One UI 7 upgrade, which includes numerous changes and new functions. However, not everyone will have access to it, and the deployment has not been without its challenges.
One UI 7 was first released for the Galaxy S25 series, but will ultimately be available for earlier handsets. Here’s the most up-to-date information on when your phone or tablet will receive the update, as well as whether it is compatible.
When will my Samsung Galaxy phone get One UI 7?
On January 22, 2025, One UI 7 was introduced, and it was initially exclusively available for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has since released three beta versions of the system for the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Galaxy S23, Tab S10, and A55.
The official deployment began on April 7, but it was quickly halted barely a week later. While not officially confirmed, trusted leaker Ice Universe reported on X that a “serious bug” was discovered in the Korean version, resulting in its suspension “in all other countries”.
According to The Verge, One UI 7 is no longer listed as the most recent version on Samsung’s servers for many of the devices eligible for the upgrade. It’s unclear how long it will take to fix the glitch and resume rollout, but it’ll probably take much longer to arrive on your phone or tablet.
Prior to the delay, Tarun Vats, an Android and Samsung specialist, stated that the following devices will be updated in April, May, and June.
April: Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Tab S10+/Ultra, S23 series, S24 FE.
May: Z Fold4/Flip4/3, S23 FE, A34, A35, S22/S21 series, Tab S9/S8 series, A16, Quantum4.
June: Tab S9 FE, A53, A33, A25, A24, A15, Quantum3, Jump2/3, Buddy3, Tab A9/A9+, Tab Active4/5, Wide7
While the Galaxy S21 and S22 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, Fold 3, and Flip 3, are eligible for One UI 7, they may receive the upgrade slightly later than subsequent models.
Samsung’s midrange devices and some low-cost phones may also receive the upgrade at a later date. As usual, Samsung prioritizes its flagship ranges before rolling out the update to other models.
Which Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets will get One UI 7?
Generally, every Galaxy phone or tablet that was released with Android 13 is likely to receive Android 15 (One UI 7), as Samsung guarantees at least two major OS upgrades for practically all of its Android products.
Additionally, flagship and mid-range models eligible for four years of OS updates will be included in the One UI 7 rollout. Samsung’s four-year upgrade policy applies to all devices produced with Android 11 or later, making them eligible for Android 15.
Naturally, all Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets arriving in 2025 will include One UI 7, including the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge and the already introduced A26, A36, and A56.
Fortunately, we no longer need to guess, because Samsung has provided the official list of Galaxy devices that will receive the One UI 7 update:

While it seems doubtful that these devices would not receive the update in the UK and US, it is important to consider what Samsung has published (and what it has not).
