For years, the Alien film franchise has failed to achieve audience expectations and surpass the magnificence of Ridley Scott’s first film, released in 1979. Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Álvarez, offers a fresh start by going back to the universe’s origins.
The ninth installment of the franchise will be a solo horror thriller with no ties to previous entries. The plot, set between Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), transports viewers to a derelict space station where a strange life form is hidden. A group of novice colonists will be forced to struggle for survival against the terrifying Xenomorph beast.
Alien: Romulus will have a young cast led by Cailee Spaeny, who you might recognize from Mare of Easttown, Priscilla, or Civil War. If you want to see how her role performs in the upcoming film, we have all the information you need concerning tickets.
Alien: Romulus is not the final installment in the franchise. Check out our round-up of FX’s Alien for additional information on the upcoming TV series.
