There are a few things to consider while looking for a best beard trimmers. Of course, you want to get the most bang for your buck. However, there are design elements and functionality that may make a significant difference in how effectively a trimmer works for you.
The first question is if you can get a decent grasp on it. A good trimmer should be light in weight, pleasant to grip, and easy to use even with damp hands.
Then there’s battery life and charging alternatives to consider. If you’re going to take your trimmer with you, it’s a good idea to know that you can charge it and it will last the duration of your vacation.
Finally, consider whether it comes with attachments to assist you cut sideburns, nose and ear hair, and body hair.
All of the following items were brought home and tested, and these are the best beard trimmers we’ve tried. We believe they are of high quality and offer good value for money.
1. Philips OneBlade – Best Trimmer
The Philips OneBlade comes as near to perfection as you can get. I’d call it faultless if it had a Micro-USB connector and a shorter charge period, but as it stands, I can’t think of any reason not to suggest this razor to almost everyone.
With three stubble combs by default and the option for a specialized body blade, this one razor can handle clean shaving, attractive stubble, and body grooming in an incredibly compact form factor. It’s lightweight, strong, and provides an excellent shave even in difficult regions like the jawline.
All of this, plus it’s one of the most reasonably priced electric razors on the market. Although you’ll need to replace the blades every few months, it’s still less expensive than other shaving products.
2. BaByliss Super-X Metal Series Hair Clipper – Best Luxury Buy
The Super X-Metal Series is a professional-grade set of clippers designed for home usage on hair and beards.
The clippers are made of precision-engineered Japanese steel and contain an LED display that shows battery life and charging time. When it comes to charging, you’ll get 20 minutes of use for every 20 minutes you plug it in. It’s a high-quality gadget with a strong motor and five settings, but keep in mind that its high-grade materials make it weighty.
There’s a handy extra feature for individuals on the go: if you forget your charging base at home, there’s a Micro-USB plug on the base that allows you to charge it conveniently on the go. However, we’d like to see a USB-C charging option as well.
3. Braun All-in-one Trimmer 7 – Most Comprehensive Trimmer
This Braun equipment will address all of your trimming needs on your head, face, ears, nose, and body at a fair price.
The set includes a cordless trimmer with removable trimmer head, eight additional attachments for trimming or shaving hair, and a Gillette Fusion razor with two five-blade packs. There’s also a charging stand, a cleaning comb, a cable, and an accessories bag.
A full charge takes an hour, and you’ll get 100 minutes of cutting time from it. There’s also a rapid charge option to provide enough power for a short trim in a hurry.
The trimmer and seven of the eight attachments may be used wet or dry; however, the body groomer head cannot be used wet.
You won’t utilize all of the attachments, but there are plenty here to ensure that you locate the proper trimmers for all of your requirements. However, this is just for short hair; anything more than 2cm would require another tool.
4. Remington G4 Graphite – Best Budget Trimmer
If you want a trimmer that can do it all but don’t want to spend a lot of money, the Remington G4 Graphite is an excellent choice.
The design and construction are sturdy, and the interchangeable head system works flawlessly, allowing you to switch between attachments in seconds. The G4 comes with a variety of accessories, including a tiny foil shaver and a detail trimmer. When you combine them together, you may obtain almost any look.
The performance and battery life are both outstanding, however we would like a power lead that fits into a shaver point rather than a three-pin connection.
5. Remington Barba MB320C beard trimmer – Most Ergonomic
The Remington Barba MB320C is a terrific value. It sculpts and trims beautifully. It’s well-designed, with a good grip and controls that are easily accessible while in use.
It also provides varied guard lengths, with a useful ‘zoom’ dial that you can rotate to alter the setting.
Its battery will provide you with at least 40 minutes of cutting time each charging. However, there are few added functions, and the additional, pop-up precision trimmer is unsatisfactory.
