Galaxy S22 FE: affordable smartphone could return with an Exynos 2300 chip

With the introduction of a new Galaxy S22 FE, which will directly successor the hated Galaxy S21 FE introduced in early 2022, Samsung might soon resuscitate the Fan Edition line.

After a Galaxy S21 FE that arrived much too late after several delays, but notably at a far too exorbitant price, everything indicated that Samsung had finally chosen to discontinue this series of smartphones. Because of the A series’ success and the lack of change on the main S22 series, several rumors claimed that Samsung had chosen to bury his Galaxy S22 FE.

However, a leaker has now confirmed the smartphone’s impending release, coupled with the Galaxy Buds 2 Live headphones. As a result, it would be an unexpected turnaround, but one that is ultimately not so shocking given other recent stories.

SAMSUNG REPLACES GALAXY A74 WITH GALAXY S22 FE

The major criticism leveled at the Galaxy S21 FE at the start of the year was its relatively unique location, since it was sandwiched between the Galaxy A73 5G and the traditional Galaxy S21. However, the successive price decreases frequently prompted Samsung enthusiasts to choose one or the other over the Galaxy S21 FE.

It has been speculated that Samsung would not release a Galaxy A74 this year, which would be ideal for putting a Galaxy S22 FE between the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy S22. The Galaxy S22 FE would thus be Samsung’s cheapest high-end smartphone in 2022, and far more efficient than the Galaxy A54 mid-range model.

The most intriguing aspect of the leak is most likely the chipset that will power the Galaxy S22 FE. According to the report, the smartphone would be powered by an Exynos 2300 processor, which was supposed to be utilized in the Galaxy S23. However, as you are surely aware, the Korean conglomerate has opted to form an exclusive relationship with Qualcomm on its devices, which will be available on February 1st.

As a result, it is believed that the processor built by Samsung will be less efficient than SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from other high-end smartphones, but it may have the benefit of being less expensive to create, lowering the price of the smartphone. This would be ideal for the Galaxy S22 FE, whose low pricing is one of its primary selling features. We also discover that the handset, like the Xiaomi 12T, will employ a 108 MP HM6 picture sensor.
