Microsoft Surface Pro 10 rumors: Release date, specs, features, price, and more

Next month is anticipated to see the release of the Microsoft Surface Pro 10, which is tipped to be one of the greatest 2-in-1 laptops of the year. As a result, as September draws nearer, speculations and leaks regarding the stylish tablet have started to circulate.

The most recent Surface Pro model introduced us to optional 5G capability, a dynamic display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an appealing array of vivid colors. It may be combined, as usual, with an optional Signature Keyboard and a Slim Pen 2 to become a laptop or canvas. We are curious as to what upgrades Microsoft has in store for the premium Windows 11-equipped Surface Pro 10.

But keep your hopes in check since you know Microsoft. Expect no significant, paradigm-shifting changes for the Surface Pro 10. The Redmond-based tech company isn’t renowned for introducing jaw-dropping changes to its Surface lineup, but rumors suggest that the Surface Pro 10 may come with certain improvements that might tempt you to upgrade.

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 10 RELEASE DATE

The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 is anticipated to go on sale on September 21. How am I aware? Although Microsoft debuted the Surface Pro 9 in the middle of October of last year, it appears like the Surface Pro 10 will be unveiled sooner this year. Microsoft, as we previously learned, has invited a select media members to a “special event” in New York City, giving away the fact that the firm is about to make some updates to its Surface line of devices. There is a good chance that the Surface Pro 10 will arrive.

The Surface Laptop Go 3, Surface Go 4, and Surface Laptop Studio are more Surface devices that are anticipated to make their debut with the Surface Pro 10, according to Windows Central.

For an overview, take a look at the Surface Pro’s release dates over the years below:

  • Surface Pro 6 — October 2018
  • Surface Pro 7 — October 2019
  • Surface Pro 8 — September 2021
  • Surface Pro 9 — October 2022
  • Surface Pro 10 — September 2023 (rumored)

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 10 PRICE

We haven’t heard anything regarding the pricing of the Surface Pro 10, but we assume it will rise owing to inflation. Consider the following beginning pricing for the Surface Pro series across the years:

  • Surface Pro 6 — $699
  •  Surface Pro 7 — $749
  •  Surface Pro 8 — $1,099
  •  Surface Pro 9 (Intel) — $999 (the Snapdragon 5G model started at $1,299)

Every generation has seen a significant price increase, and with the state of our economy, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Surface Pro 10 gets pricier.

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 10 DESIGN

According to Zac Bowden of Windows Central, who cites individuals close to the situation, the Surface Pro 10 is following in Apple’s footsteps. You know how the iPad Pro is available in two sizes (for example, 12.9 inches and 11 inches)? Microsoft is apparently preparing to release a Surface Pro 10 in two sizes: a 13-inch device and an 11-inch one.

A Surface Pro 13-inch is nothing new. The Surface Pro 9 has a 13-inch PixelSense Flow touch display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1920 and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The latest kid on the block is the 11-inch tablet. It will be similar in shape and size as the Surface Go, with the exception of smaller bezels. Of course, it will be more powerful and include a faster 120Hz display.

Aside from that, the design language of the Surface Go will most likely remain the same: a sleek 2-in-1 design with smooth, rounded edges. It will also retain its trademark built-in kickstand and attachable Type Cover keyboard, both of which are offered separately.

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 10 SPECS

The Surface Pro 9’s numerous CPU options were one of the most eye-catching improvements. You might select between a 12th generation Intel CPU and a 5G-capable Microsoft SQ 3 processor.

There have been no leaks indicating if the Redmond-based computer behemoth intends to reintroduce ARM and Intel models. However, the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processors that Microsoft is hoping to deploy (i.e., the new Oryon-based chipsets) aren’t expected to be available in time for the Surface Pro 10, thus the next tablet may only be available in Intel versions.

WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE WITH THE SURFACE PRO 10

Microsoft should use an OLED display in the Surface Pro 10. Instead of a smaller model, I’d like a larger one, such as a 14.5-inch one. I’d also want to see the Surface Pro grow a touch lighter, to match the weight of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Finally, thinner bezels should be considered; the Surface Pro 9’s frame is a touch too bulky for my liking.
